Rae Flores is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Austin, Texas. She is a tattoo apprentice at Slowpoke Tattoo and shows her paintings in galleries throughout the country. Rae uses her defining pink color palette to explore the bittersweet. Her work contrasts traditionally taboo subject matter against nostalgic, dreamlike imagery, inviting viewers to question their perceptions of comfort and familiarity.
Rae graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Texas in 2025 with a BFA in Studio Art: Drawing & Painting and minors in English and Art History. The same year, Rae held her debut solo show, Dear Diary, at Sundance Square’s Zona 7 Gallery in Fort Worth, TX. Rae’s paintings have been included in exhibitions at the School of Visual Arts (New York, NY), 500X Gallery (Dallas, TX), and RTown Art Gallery (Grapevine, TX), among others. Her poetry has been published in The 2River View and North Texas Review.
Rae is always accepting opportunities to work and engage with the community. This includes gallery appearances, markets, guest spots, commissions, curation opportunities, artist talks, poetry readings, workshops, and more!
